Competition and prices
Competition? There isn't any -- at least not directly. The HHR Panel LS starts at $19,480, while my tester with automatic transmission ($1,260) retailed for $20,740.

The V6-powered Chevy Express carries a base sticker price of $27,670, while the Ford E-Series costs upwards of $29,799. As for Dodge's Sprinter, be prepared to shell out $43,620 -- far from what I'd call "a great deal".

There's no real alternative to the HHR Panel on the market.

Conclusion
The idea behind the HHR Panel (converting a regular HHR into a utility model) is a good one. If you own a small business and need a compact truck or van for deliveries or other duties, this Chevrolet is the perfect solution. Companies looking to advertise through a mobile publicity board will also be satisfied.

And despite the fast-growing popularity of versatile SUVs and crossovers, young active couples sure could find plenty to do with the HHR Panel (road trips, camping, carrying sport equipment or fitness apparatus, etc.). But forget the kids!
