Toyota:Look out Sierra, Silverado, Ram and F-150; there is a new player in town. The 2007 Tundra is set to steal a good portion of the very lucrative full-size pickup pie. Other than just being huge and being able to carry your house with all your stuff in it, the new Tundra features a comfortable and inviting interior. Under the hood of the Tundra we find the familiar 271 hp 4.7L V8 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission or the largest ever Toyota engine, a 381 hp 5.7L V8 which is coupled to a 6-speed autobox.
Volkswagen:VW is keeping the GTI hot with a Fahrenheit edition. Available only in Fahrenheit Orange, this special edition also includes special interior trim which encompasses heated leather seats, a sunroof and Fahrenheit badging. The powertrain consists of the 2.0T and the DSG transmission.
Volvo:The new C30 is sending waves throughout the compact luxury market. Poised against the likes of the Volkswagen GTI, the C30 will bring a level of luxury and comfort to the sports compact segment. One of two engines can be selected to power the C30, both of which are borrowed from the S40 and V50. The 2.4L inline 5-cylinder develops 168 hp and the turbocharged 2.5L inline 5-cylinder puts out 218 hp.
The S80 has never looked more like a member of the Volvo family as it does now. Its new smoother flowing lines are complement by two new engines. The base S80 gets the 232 hp 3.2L inline 6-cylinder. Optionally, the S80 can be equipped with the 315 hp 4.4L V8 and can also be ordered with an AWD system.
