Later in the day, Nissan invited journalists to a small racetrack near Reno. The company had set up a fast, highly technical course. Things happen so quick when you're not totally familiar with a car: the GT-R is so explosive under acceleration that it literally wants to eat the tarmac. It's important to learn how to put all that power to good use... and be aware of the many laws of physics. So I patiently waited before unleashing this car.

Steve Millen, a legendary driver from Nissan USA, showed us the incredible qualities of the new GT-R. What an experience! And to think it was only a pre-production model! I want more

Driving this car is all about passion and emotion -- and given its high value, there's also a fair share of reason involved.
