The hard top also gives more insulation so the interior has less sound from the road. But not to worry – you can still hear the roar of the engine!

For 2011 in Canada, there is no longer the choice between the TT and TTS; it is this TTS or nothing. I think that you are buying this because you want a sports car, and the S trim fulfills that desire.

It is equipped with a fantastic 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine. With 265 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque, it gives this car the ability to do 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. Pretty nice considering all this power is matched to Audi's 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Audi is no longer offering a TT with a V6. No big loss, in my opinion, you get this amazing engine and better fuel economy. The TTS is rated at 9.7 L/100 km in the city and 7.1L on the highway.

On the highway, this thing passes with ease. Because the engine is turbocharged, when you put your foot down you get a lot of power that comes on quite fast. Yes, there is a bit of turbo lag, but I personally don’t mind it at all.

The steering is a bit light but I like it. Some say this is a bit on the girly side, and since I am a girl (shocking!) I guess it could be true. For everyday driving, I don't want to have to work at taking a corner.

The steering wheel also has a wonderful feel to it. Not too thick, soft leather and the flattened bottom gives it a complete race car feel.

The quattro all-wheel drive really feels solid on the road. It takes corners nicely and the car feels very balanced at all speeds. It doesn’t have a real heavy feel like some other cars in this class and it is agile in both city streets and long stretches of highway roads.

The base model starts at $57,600 and comes with everything you need to feel like you are driving a sports car. You can add a navigation package for $2,900 that will also upgrade the audio system. Then add the gorgeous 19-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels that are well worth the additional $1,000. They look sexy.
