A More Aggressive Looking Midsize
The posted fuel mileage for the R/T is 9.7L/ 100km in the city and 6.6L /100km on the highway. The Fusion, Malibu and Accord are all rated close to 9.5L in the city and 6.5L on the highway.

Standard features include things like power windows, doors and locks, ABS, multistage air bags and side-curtain air bags.

The rear seat splits 60/40 to make room for cargo to pass through the trunk with very close to 13 cubic feet of space. It seems roomy enough but the Fusion has it beat with a total of 16.5 cubic feet.

The full loaded R/T starts at $25,295, which will get you 18-inch alloys, an 8-way power adjustable driver seat and leather heated front seats. (Photo: Dodge)

This year, Dodge only offers the Avenger as a front wheel drive vehicle, gone is the available AWD.

The base SE has an MSRP of $20,995 and a full loaded R/T starts at $25,295, which will get you 18-inch alloys, an 8-way power adjustable driver seat and leather heated front seats.

The cars in this class all have a lot of things in common, and many of them are not worth making a big deal over when you are shopping around.

This is one class of cars that really is a matter of personal choice.

The Avenger offers you a midsize sedan that will be comfortable for everyone inside and not be too hard on the wallet. The exterior styling does give it a unique edge but it wouldn’t be my first choice and mainly because of the interior.
