Chrysler's 200 Sedan Unveiled: The Wheel Has Not Been Reinvented
When I think about boring cars, the Chrysler Sebring comes on top of my list. Cars like this tarnished Chrysler's reputation, but the manufacturer is working hard to change this perception and aim for the top with the Sebring's replacement, the brand new Chrysler 200 Sedan that made its debut in Los Angeles.

The outside look has been revamped, giving some aspects of this car a brand-new look. You can really tell that Chrysler looked in many directions for the 200. The headlights hint at Lexus, wihile a classic Chrysler grille and a Taurus/BMW back end are the main attractions of the car. However, when looking at this vehicle from the side, you can really tell it replaces the Sebring as the body lines are exactly the same. Revolutionary? Not quite... On a more positive note, LED lighting was added to the car, really distinguishing it from its predecessor.

The main upgrades made on the car and what Chrysler will flaunt is the work that was done to revitalize the suspension for a softer ride as well as engine changes. The Chrysler 200's power will come from a 2.4-litre engine mated to four- or six-speed automatic transmissions, or from the new 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine producing 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, matched with a six-speed automatic.

Inside the 200, the steering wheel, instrument panel gauges and seats were redone in order to improve ride comfort as well as having everything easily accessible from the driver's seat. Seating materials have also been upgraded from the 2010 Sebring. Overall, passengers will be well-seated in this car.

U.S. prices will start at $19,995 for the LX version (including destination charge), $21,995 for the Touring and $24,495 for the Limited. An S version of the 200 will be added at a later date.
