Honda and Acura products typically receive a mid-cycle refresh, and it’s the TSX’s turn to get one.

For 2011, the TSX receives an updated front fascia; chin spoiler, fog lamp housings and grille have all been redesigned, although the changes are very subtle. The car’s taillights and license plate garnish have also been lightly revised.

Inside, the center console gets darker trim pieces, the door handles sport a bright finish and the steering wheel gets new trimmings. The leather upholstery benefits from contrast stitching, while rear-seat occupants now get improved ventilation with the addition of vents located at the rear of the front armrest.

The TSX is said to quieter inside, thanks to thicker glass and more sound-deadening insulation. The Technology Package includes a revised [link artID+"94935"]navigation system[/link], improved voice recognition and a hard drive for music storage.

Both engines, the 2.4-litre inline-4 and the 3.5-litre V6, benefit from reduced internal friction, which results in lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The 5-speed automatic now includes a fluid warmer for smoother operation in colder climates.

Small improvements perhaps, but improvements are always welcome.
