Pushing it is not what Lincoln buyers are going to be doing most of the time. Most of the time, they're going to love the fact that this car is amazingly quiet and comfortable, but also powerful and controlled.
It might not be visceral enough to move some rock and roller to pen a song about it. But ironically, this V6 Lincoln would surely clean the clocks of those V8-powered hot rod Lincolns of yesteryear. And as Lincoln predicted, it will be an equally powerful alternative to the thirstier V8-equipped competitors of today.
