The CX-7 crossover will get a second engine in 2010 that will power a new front-wheel drive base model. The 2.5-litre inline-4 that's found in the Mazda3, Mazda6 and Tribute will develop 161 horsepower and 161 lb-ft of torque in the CX-7, and will be mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The CX-7 will also get a mild facelift, including a new front fascia and rear bumper. The revised interior gets extra sound deadening and better-quality materials, while Mazda claims the vehicle is improved in regards to noise, vibration and harshness as well as torsional rigidity.
The 2009 MX-5 receives a host of upgrades, starting with redesigned front and rear fascias. The manual-folding soft top is reserved for GX and GS models, while the power-folding hard top is offered in GS and GT trims.
Under the hood, the MX-5's powertrain remains the same, a 2.0-litre, 16-valve inline-4 that develops 164 horsepower mated to either a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with manual mode.
The 2010 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback are also on display, totally redesigned and better-equipped than before. Base models get a 2.0-litre engine that develops 148 horsepower and 135 lb-ft of torque, while uplevel versions receive a 2.5-litre unit that produces 167 horses and 168 lb-ft.
As before, the Mazda3 is available in three trim levels for both body styles: GX, GS and GT. Available upscale features include leather seats, xenon headlights, navigation, adaptive headlights and intelligent key system.
