Missing some ''Zoom-Zoom?''
The list of standard features and amenities does not disappoint, either. The base GS comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, four-corner disc brakes with ABS and traction control, six airbags, power windows, mirrors and door locks, cruise control, climate control, a fine CD/MP3 audio system and 60/40 split-folding rear seatbacks.

Twice as loaded!
The GT, meanwhile, is essentially twice as loaded. Added to the list is the Comfort Package (optional with the GS), which includes Dynamic Stability Control, a power-adjustable driver's seat and a power glass sunroof, among other goodies. You'll also find 18-inch wheels, fog lights, LED taillights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 6-CD changer and a HomeLink device.

Options include a premium surround sound system for true music lovers as well as a GPS-based navigation screen for those who hate traditional maps.

Why is the Mazda6 so unpopular, again?

Attractive styling
One might think that the racy exterior is too much for some. However, neither the Fusion nor the Accord generates as many nods of approval as the Mazda6 GT we tested over a full week.

With regard to the interior layout, this model perfectly suits the needs of typical midsize sedan buyers. Four adults can comfortably sit inside and enjoy a relaxed driving experience thanks to effective soundproofing.

The two front buckets are as supportive as one could wish for and, combined with the tilt/telescoping steering wheel, they make for an optimum driving position regardless of your body size. In the back, legroom is on par with the segment's average, while only taller passengers may ask for a little more headroom.
