After the Quail, many Porsches and countless super luxury rare expensive cars, it only made sense that we make our way to the increasingly popular second annual Concours d'LeMons! And so, we did and what a refreshing change of pace and, well, environment it was.
You may have guessed that the LeMons is not exactly a Pebble Beach or a Quail but its purpose is the same; to display unique, rare and special vehicles that are... worth nothing. To be frank, I had a great time walking amongst Pacers, Pintos, Renault 5s, Trabants, Fiats, Volkswagens and even a rare Chrysler Sapporro.
The mood was bar-like and everyone's sense of humour was in tune with the reason for this event: to have a great time and maybe get drunk while they're at it. What a treat.
I did find a Pacer that really got me salivating! I have a secret lust for one of these rolling sh*t crates. This one was done up in a black-widow style that suited it perfectly. The chain-link steering wheel and red shag carpeting sealed the deal for me! Another vehicle that got my juices flowing was a rare 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon Transporter Syncro. It was perfect: white with CLK-Class alloys and truck tires!
