We caught the all-new mid-sized family sedan from Suzuki: the
Kizashi!
The name may (or may not) change, but this is the production version of the show car that made its world debut at the 2008 New York Auto Show as the Kizashi 3.
Obviously toned down a bit from the sleek concept, the production version of the Kizashi will be built in Sagara, Japan, and will arrive at dealerships in early 2010.
Suzuki is pitting the Kizashi up against Toyota's Camry and the hot selling Chevrolet Malibu. Therefore it was no surprise to find a few of the Chevys out testing with the Suzuki prototypes.
Power-wise, we are expecting the base model to be equipped with a 150+ horsepower 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. The top-of-the-line Kizashi will be powered by a 3.6-liter V6 (with 280 to 300-hp) mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
