The MKX has been fairly popular since it was first introduced in 2006 as a 2007 model. In fact, Lincoln says that 50% of new customers to their brand have come in to buy because of the MKX.
So Lincoln has decided to take a good thing and see if they can make it better. Lincoln is expanding their line up with seven new, or completely refreshed vehicles being introduced into the market over the next four years. And the first vehicle to get a make-over is this gorgeous looking crossover.
I think Lincoln is off to a great start. This mid-size crossover is beautiful. The front end has a sculpted, updated look. The distinguishing split-wing grille lets everyone know that this is a Lincoln.
Looking from the front to the back end, the flowing lines and chrome accents bring it all together. The updated tailgate looks more upscale and the larger oval exhaust tips give the MKX a more aggressive look from behind.
Step inside and the interior updates are another great improvement! Looking at pictures from the old and comparing to the new, it doesn’t even look like the same vehicle. I am not even sure where to start.
The centre stack is surrounded by upgraded soft touch materials, chrome accents and genuine stitching on the leather. The fit and finish is absolutely exquisite.
My favourite feature is the LED chaser lights under the controls for volume and air. They illuminate under my fingers and look stunning! I haven't seen anything like this before in a vehicle and I think it looks great, especially at night time.
