Same powertrain
Every SX4 is equipped with a 16-valve, 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that develops 150 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque, and can be matched to either a 6-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters.
Base and JA trims get front disc and rear drum brakes, while JX, JLX and Sport versions benefit from 4-wheel disc brakes. In addition, all models get an independent front and torsion beam rear suspension.
The SX4 Hatchback’s all-wheel- drive system includes a console-mounted rocker switch; 2WD spins only the front wheels, AUTO allows the system to send up to 50% of power to the rear wheels upon wheel slippage, while LOCK activates constant all-wheel traction up to 60 km/h.
