The cabin's been overhauled for a much more fun and "individual" look–-with body-coloured carbon-look dash and a choice of three ambient light colours. There's a much more liberal use of premium leather with contrasting coloured inserts in seats. Fragile masculine egos can breathe a big sigh of relief: the bud vase has been axed.

Prices and release date haven't been confirmed, but the new Beetle should be available this fall either late September or early October. Although plans are to market it globally, the Beetle will be produced only in Puebla, Mexico.
