Pros push the limits on Sunday
Plenty of sheetmetal got battered and bruised when Pro Class drivers hit the track in Victoriaville on Sunday. Both Kevin Morin (vs. Tomy Boisvert-Bellemare) and Bob Patinka (vs. Simon Schaffner) rammed their car into the wall during the Top 16. Later, in the Top 8, Vincent Théberge suffered a similar fate and dragged Marc Landreville along with him. And when it came to the Top 4, Tanner Munson’s weekend ended against the same concrete blocks.
Sure enough, however, all the battles proved intense and provided the fans in attendance with edge-of-seat entertainment.
No one could match Francis Tassé
Jeff Laflamme and Francis Tassé made it clear that they’re two of the most skilled drift racers in Quebec during their confrontation in the Top 4. After 4 laps, Tassé finally advanced. Laflamme automatically finished 3rd following Munson’s exit.
Marc Landreville squared off against Tassé for all the marbles. The powerful Soarer of the latter danced its way like a winner should, and Round 4 of the 2013 DMCC became history.
The next round will take place at the Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix on August 10th.
