The first time around, the smart forfour was nothing more than a rebadged Mitsubishi Colt and, other than it not being as special as it should have been, it plainly did not do very well. The second time around, it would seem as though smart and Mercedes want to stick to the original recipe and do things right.
The fourjoy Concept gets its power from a 55 kW magneto-electric motor and 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. Obviously, it seats four but doesn’t have any doors or a roof. I don’t expect that the production model, should it come, will exclude these elements.
