Pros and Cons*
Pros

When it comes to functionality, the Mercedes-Benz 2013 E-Class Coupe won’t be ceding its place at the top of the toybox any time soon. We especially like its passenger cabin, full range equipment, power-adjustable seating as well as its individually-adjustable sport seating in the back. Future buyers will also enjoy the chassis balance as well as access to the latest technology.

Cons
The car, however, lacks perky sportiness when it comes to road handling and, when options are added, its price blows up pretty fast. Its fuel-hungry engine and its heavy doors are a few other downsides as well.

Price
The E 350 Coupe starts at $61,400, which includes 18-inch wheels, Agility Control suspension system with continuously variable damping, a sun roof, power speed control, dual zone climate control and heated front seats.

Several option packs come standard, like the dynamic handling package, a seating package, a power tilt and telescoping steering column, a lighting package and an exterior sports package.

As an option, you can get the AMG sport package for $1,500, the premium package for $4,900, the driving assistance package for $800, the advanced driving assistance package for $2,700 as well as the wood steering wheel and shifter package for $800.

The all-wheel drive E 350 4MATIC model enjoys the same equipment for a starting price of $ 62,400 – making it a $1,000 more than the rear-wheel drive version.

Even more of a performer, the 2013 E 550 Coupe starts at $72,900.
Along with the standard packages for the E 350, you’ll get multi-contour front seating plus a style package, also included in the price. What’s more, the premium package costs ony $3,400 for this model.

Fuel economy
The E 350 Coupe rates 10.6 L/100 km for city driving and 7 L/100 km on the highway.
The all-wheel drive, E 350 4MATIC has a 11 L/100 km city rating and 7.2 L/100 km for the highway.

The powerful E 550 Coupe tops out at 12 L/100 km, city, and 7.5 L/100 km, highway.

Recent Improvements and New in 2013
Starting in 2012, the V8’s engine size has been reduced from 5.5 litres to 4.6 litres.
