Pros: Everything you love about the A5 -- design, Quattro, driveability -- pumped up a few notches for optimum performance.

Cons: If there has to be one, I suppose it would be that there are only two doors, making rear seat access a little difficult at times.

2015 Audi S5 Coupe/Cabriolet Price and Fuel Economy: The 2015 Audi S5 Coupe is available in two trims and with two transmission options.

  • 2015 Audi S5 Technik S Tronic $62,900
  • 2015 Audi S5 Technik manual $61,300
  • 2015 Audi S5 Progressiv S Tronic $58,600
  • 2015 Audi S5 Progressiv manual $57,000

On the other hand, the Audi S5 Cabriolet is only available in two trims, and with only one transmission choice: the S Tronic automatic.

  • 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet Technik $74,700
  • 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet Progressiv $69,900

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the 2015 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet share similar numbers, but they aren’t exactly the same.

The Cabriolet’s two models return the same readings; 13.1L/100km in the city and 9.1L/100km on the highway. Meanwhile, the Coupe’s numbers are different across the board depending on trim and transmission choice:

  • Coupe Technik manual: 13.8L/100km city, 8.3L/100km highway
  • Coupe Technik S Tronic: 13L/100km city, 8.5L/100km highway
  • Coupe Progressiv manual: 13.1L/100km city, 9L/100km highway
  • Coupe Progressiv S Tronic: 13L/100km city, 7.7L/100km highway

Changes and Improvements: Since 2013, the Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet have seen no major changes across the lineup.

Powertrain: Despite the different trims available, the engine remains the same across the board, and that’s a very good thing. Housed beneath the beautifully sculpted hood of the 2015 Audi S5 is a supercharged 3.0L V6 that pushes out 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s renowned Quattro system, and transmission choices reside in a 7-speed S Tronic automatic or a 6-speed manual. The Cabriolet is only available with the S Tronic.

Cargo Capacity: The 2015 Audi S5 Coupe offers up 346L of trunk space, while the Cabriolet drops that number to 288L.

Safety: The 2015 Audi S5 Coupe and Cabriolet are both equipped with every manner of standard safety equipment and airbags including ABS, electronic stabilization program, tire pressure monitoring system, EBD, and in the event of a collision sensors will automatically unlock the doors.

Comparing the 2015 Audi S5 Coupe/Cabriolet: BMW M4, Cadillac ATS Coupe,  Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
