The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia will go on sale in Canada starting in the first quarter of next year. This sedan brings Italian craftsmanship, class-leading performance, state-of-the-art technology, and a passion for driving to the premium midsize market, FCA says.
The Giulia nameplate reflects the 55-year heritage of Alfa Romeo's lightweight, performance sedan tradition, and its stunning design was penned by Alfa Romeo artisans at the Cassino plant in Frosinone, Italy.
The lineup starts with the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulia Ti at $48,995 and $50,995, respectively. These models feature an all-new, all-aluminum, 2.0L turbo engine with direct injection that produces 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque via an 8-speed automatic transmission with available paddle shifters. Both can add the Q4 all-wheel drive system for $2,000.
Standard equipment includes heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, bi-xenon headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights and taillamps, a 6.5” radio display with 2D Navigation, back-up camera with dynamic gridlines, rear park sensors, and a 7” full-colour TFT display. The Giulia Ti tacks on 18” wheels, genuine wood interior accents, an 8.8” widescreen infotainment display with 3D Navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, and front park sensors.
Meanwhile, the award-winning Giulia Quadrifoglio will have a Canadian MSRP of $87,995. It uses a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 engine that cranks out a whopping 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque—the most powerful Alfa Romeo production car engine ever and the quickest with a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds. In fact, the Giulia Quadrifoglio posted a record-setting 7:32 lap time at the Nürburgring—the fastest ever by a 4-door production sedan.
