Chevrolet has already taken the wraps off of its redesigned 2017 Trax, a couple of days before the start of the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.

Set to go on sale this fall, the sub-compact CUV will come in LS, LT, and Premier models with numerous attractive features in a more upscale interior. Consider Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, the 7” touch screen, chrome accents, and revised instruments.

The 2017 Chevy Trax also boasts new active safety features that are designed to help alert drivers to potential crash situations. They are available depending on the model and include Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Departure Warning.

Under the hood, look for a turbocharged 1.4L 4-cylinder Ecotec engine, which is backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission. Output is rated at an SAE-certified 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque between 1,850 and 4,900 rpm.
