Porsche 911,’s GT Coupe of the Year, becomes the extreme RSR (video)

The Porsche 911 Carrera recently won the 2017 GT Coupe of the Year award, finishing ahead of the Audi R8 and Acura NSX in the voting process.

As you probably know, in what is the biggest change to the iconic 911 since the water-cooled boxer replaced the air-cooled unit in 1999, the car now uses a brand new and turbocharged 3.0L flat-6 engine. No matter the trim level you choose or the options you add, you’ll get a machine that’s purely designed for driving enthusiasts, if not Porsche purists.

We have two separate reviews of the 2017 Porsche 911 including a coupe and a cabriolet. Also, you can take a look at its specifications, browse through our photo galleries, and watch the following video of the race-prepared 911 RSR, honed for the most extreme conditions.
