Subaru has announced the arrival of its all-new 2017 Crosstrek at Canadian dealerships in the coming days. No fewer than 6 versions, most featuring a manual 5-speed or CVT transmission, will be offered, with starting prices ranging from $24,995 for the Crosstrek Touring with manual transmission all the way up to the Crosstrek Limited version with Technology package and CVT transmission, which comes in at $32,295. At the same time, the manufacturer is confirming that the hybrid model will not be part of the available roster in 2017.
The 2017 Crosstrek is propelled by a SUBARU BOXER 2.0L flat-cylinder engine with proven eco-friendly bonafides: its fuel consumption figures for the CVT-equipped models come in at 9.1/7.2 L/100 km (city/highway). Inside, owners will benefit from up to 1,470 litres of space, when seats are laid flat.
New for 2017, the Kazan edition of the Crosstrek is an instant eye-catcher with its pure red exterior colour matched to an Onyx Black interior with red-stitched upholstery. 17-inch wheels, a power glass sunroof and a rear bumper step pad further distinguish this trim, whose apt name signifies volcano in Japanese.
Unsurprisingly, all of the safety features that have become synonymous with the Subaru brand are available with the 2017 Crosstrek, including rear- and side-vehicle detection systems, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the EyeSight driver assist system.
