Which will be the North American Vehicles of the Year for 2018? Semi-finalists in the car, utility and truck categories have just been announced by a jury comprised of roughly 60 journalists, including our contributor Denis Duquet.
The nominated vehicles will go through a second evaluation process to take place in October, which will include road tests carried out over a three-day period. The process is a rigorous one, explained jury president Mark Phelan: “It’s pretty serious as all of our jurors know how coveted these awards are by manufacturers.”
The announcement of the finalists in each category will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, while the big winners will be crowned next January 9 during a special ceremony at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
