Detroit marked the official unveiling of the newly redesigned Ford Explorer, sitting on a totally new platform that now features a rear-wheel-drive-biased configuration. Also new is the scary Police Interceptor version, the fuel-efficient Hybrid version and the more-exciting ST sport version powered by a mighty 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine that delivers 400 hp. The Explorer will go on sale later this year.
