The American automotive giant has already confirmed that electrification is part of its long-term strategy. That strategy got its unofficial send-off at the Detroit auto show earlier this year with the presentation of the Ford Explorer Hybrid. For the moment, however, the list of plug-in hybrid offerings from Ford lineup is pretty thin.
As in, the only model available is the Fusion Energi sedan ($34,950), which continues to trudge along its merry way in 2019. The midsize car still operates on the trusty 2.0L 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine, in combination with an 88 kW electric motor fed by a battery pack.
