Visual updates, Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology highlight changes we know are coming

The 2019 Nissan Maxima will make its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. Nissan says the new edition will get a refreshed look and incorporate a variety of new technologies.

Among these, the automaker mentions available Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, which consists of six advanced safety and driver-assist technologies.

As for those visual changes promised by the manufacturer, the photo released today actually shows they won’t be major. The headlights, slightly modified in comparison with the 2018, will have LED lighting, at least as an option. The front grille is a little different, getting a slight adjustment to its chrome accent and incorporating small intake grilles along each side.

It’s expected that the 2019 Maxima will retain the current edition’s 3.5L V6 engine generating 300 hp, working together with a CVT transmission.

Flagship of Nissan’s sedan lineup, the 2019 Maxima will go on sale in the United States – and, we expect, in Canada - right after the auto show, so in early December.
