With its Outlander PHEV SUV, Mitsubishi appealed to families who wanted to reduce their ecological footprint. The head start the model got vis-à-vis rivals in its size category certainly went some way to explaining its roaring success in Canada, but the catch now is the plug-in Outlander will soon be joined by a certain Toyota RAV4 Prime, which promises to be more efficient, deliver a longer range (in purely electric driving) and be more modern in every way.
The good news for Mitsubishi is that the next generation of the SUV is already in the testing phase.
