# 5 Performance

There are three distinct modes that allow motorists to select the type of driving desired. Normal mode delivers a smooth, family-friendly ride, while Sport mode makes the car stiffer by strengthening the suspension, as well making the engine and transmission more responsive and the exhaust system a little more audible.

Sport+ mode unleashes the beast lurking within, and the car becomes a true Porsche. There's a fourth mode that allows you to customize your vehicle, but to be honest, we didn't use it because even in Normal mode, the vehicle handles very well.

The small selector to toggle between the modes is placed within easy reach on the inside of the steering wheel. However, we were particularly interested in an even smaller button sitting in the centre of the selector, which opens the way to a neat function. Press this button and the vehicle switches into Sport+ mode for exactly 20 seconds for optimal acceleration. After the 20 seconds, the vehicle returns to Normal mode. Caffeine in small doses!

# 6 Night Vision

Already available in a few vehicles on the market, this option with the Cayenne Coupe is practical and useful for those who often drive in dense urban or else rural areas. Indeed, the function detects pedestrians and large animals using an infrared camera and displays them as a thermal image before they are illuminated by the LED headlights.
