# 3 Rear seats
Despite the sloping roofline, the space in the rear seats is actually almost the same as that of the classic Cayenne. How is that? Porsche has lowered the rear seats by 30 mm, while the roof is 20 mm lower. This makes getting in and out of the car much easier for passengers without the risk of bumping their heads. Although some might want a helping hand from the outside when lifting themselves up and out!
The only snag is that even though the Coupe is slightly longer than the normal version (4931 mm vs. 4918 mm) the cargo area is slightly smaller at 625 litres versus 772 with the rear seats up, and 1540 litres versus 1708 with the rear seats folded down. You’ll have to be a little choosier about what you bring along with you on your road trip.
# 4 Like a sports car
Porsche makes sports cars! Stands to reason then that it would create a sporty SUV. For our test drive we had the turbo model that delivers 541 hp, which is nothing to sneeze at. And, even with your right foot on the floor, the car clings to the road and even when cornering, you really feel like you're behind the wheel of a sports car. Unlike other models in the competition, which like most SUVs tend to pitch slightly in corners depending on speed and weight, the Cayenne Coupe remains totally non-plussed.
In a nice little nod to nostalgia, Porsche had our tester decked in classic houndstooth fabric seats.
