The Upland variant adopts certain visual and functional elements associated with the Trailhawk while sitting lower in the lineup.

The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee receives several adjustments in Canada. There’s no big change to the basic formula, rather Jeep focused on revising the lineup structure, adding a new Upland trim, in addition to enhancing equipment levels on select trims.

The lineup will also continue to offer two powerplants. The 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine remains standard on Laredo and Laredo X trims. Moving up to the Laredo Altitude and above, the Grand Cherokee instead gets the 2.0L Hurricane 4 turbocharged 4-cylinder.

2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee – What’s new?

The main news for 2027 is the arrival of the Grand Cherokee Laredo Upland. This trim seeks to adopt certain visual and functional elements associated with the Trailhawk while sitting lower in the lineup.

Specifically, the Upland trim receives 18-inch wheels inspired by those on the Trailhawk, 265/60R18 all-terrain tyres and a specific front fascia. Grey-painted tow hooks are also added.

The roof is painted body colour, while several exterior trim accents adopt a dark grey finish. Inside the cabin, Jeep fits seats combining Capri leatherette and suede in a black colorway.

Trailhawk and Overland, down the road
The Trailhawk version will itself make a return to the 2027 lineup, though its availability will come at a later date. The same applies to the Overland.

According to Jeep, the Grand Cherokee can offer up to 28.9 cm of ground clearance, as well as approach, breakover and departure angles reaching 36, 24.4 and 30.3 degrees, respectively. The maximum rated towing capacity remains at 2,812 kg (6,200 lb) when properly equipped.

More equipment for existing trims
The Grand Cherokee Laredo and Laredo X also gain standard content for 2027. Their standard infotainment screen grows from 8.4 to 10.1 inches. Jeep is also fitting them with a new 18-inch wheel design.

As for the Grand Cherokee Limited, a new 20-inch wheel design is added. Wireless phone charging and rain-sensing wipers are now part of its equipment list. The Limited Reserve trim gets power auto-folding exterior mirrors.

The colour palette expands considerably with several new shades, including High Gloss Black and Sting Gray. Ghost, Red Hot, Olive Green, Midnight Sky, Ember and Red Rock will follow later in the model-year. A new Wicker Beige upholstery option will also be offered on the Laredo.

2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee – Canadian availability and pricing

The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee can be ordered now in Canada, with the first units expected to arrive at dealerships toward the end of 2026. The entry-level model starts at $62,890 including freight fees. The new Upland version begins at $71,890, while the Trailhawk and Overland are listed starting at $78,890 and $81,890, respectively.
