15 - Lucas Electric Taxi 1975
At the London auto show in 1975, a company by the name of Lucas introduced a taxi concept, the great particularity of which was that it ran on electricity. A pioneer long ahead of its time, the car faced the same problem many modern electric models have to contend with: range. Lucas’ model had a range of 160 km on a full charge, which for a taxi was just not sufficient.
