19 – Skoda 105L Taxi 1983
While the focus in Western countries was to produce taxis that were efficient and functional, on the other side of the Iron Curtain it was a different story. There it was all about the price; as in, the cheapest models available were de facto the perfect choices to be taxis. Case in point is this Skoda 105, a Czech car of which nearly one million units were built between 1976 and 1988.
Fun fact: the letter L in this version stood for… Luxury. Unlike the regular 105, this version had extras like armrests.
