Chrysler Chops $4,172 off of PT Cruiser Sticker for $16,998 Base Price
Not even Chrysler could have realized what a smash hit it had created in the PT Cruiser before it came on the market five years ago. Other niche market retro models, such as VW's New Beetle and BMW's MINI Cooper did quite well and are doing quite well respectively, but nothing compares to the hundreds of thousands of PT Cruisers that hit the streets. The Cruiser still experiences decent sales, due to its uniqueness in the market and overall functionality, but like most specialty cars its popularity is nowhere near what it was when first introduced.
