Great news for Canadian F1 fans is the return of fellow countryman Jacques Villeneuve, the only Canuck and one of two championship winners to take part in the 2005 F1 championship run. But the bad news is that he's been under intense scrutiny by the motorsport press since he took up his old profession - JV sat out most of last year after being dropped by BAR Honda's ex-boss David Richards in a move that was more political than professional.

For starters, a poll currently running on PlanetF1.com asks the question, "Will Jacques finish the 2005 season with Sauber?" A very bullish 47 percent believe he will, while 5 percent say he won't. Disturbing, if asking the audience is as accurate among F1 fans that read this publication as it is on the TV game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire, 48 percent believe he won't even be in F1 when the season closes.
