BMW Team RLL and its drivers plan on retaining their GT2 ALMS crown in 2012.

Regulars Dirk Müller and Bill Auberlen will be back once more, to drive the BMW M3 GT. But American Joey Hand will split his time between his DTM commitments and with the ALMS programme.

His work with the Munich firm in DTM will be prioritized.

In addition, former ALMS champion Jörg Müller will be back in BMW Team RLL’s push to conquer another GT title. Uwe Alzen will also lend a helping hand, at the season opener in Sebring, and the grand finale at Road Atlanta.

A sixth driver, not yet confirmed, should complete the team’s line-up in longer races.

"We line up with the BMW M3 GT against the strong competition in this thrilling championship for the fourth time. Our goal is obviously to successfully defend the titles. The driver line-up certainly gives us every chance to achieve that goal," said BMW Motorsport director Jens Marquardt.
