Canadian teenager Brett McCormick, replacing the injured Aaron Yates at Michael Jordan Motorsports, had his best results of the season this past weekend at the Mid-Ohio American Superbike double-header event.

McCormick ran as high as sixth on Saturday, before settling in for a seventh place finish. In the Sunday race, McCormick passed Jordan team-mate Jake Zemke on the last lap and ended up sixth at the finish.

Despite riding with three different teams so far this season, and experiencing a few falls and mechanical problems, McCormick currently sits in ninth place in the championship race, after 12 races of the 17-race season.

McCormick will be back in action this coming weekend at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, as an AMA American Superbike race is part of the US MotoGP weekend event.
