2024 BMW XM – 50 km of range

This is the power champion of this group, as it gets a twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 with EV power that’s good for a startling 738 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, enough to take the big – well, at 2,785 kg, very big – XM from 0-100 km/h in about 3.8 seconds. Which, for something this massive, is tough to fathom.

Believe or not, but even with all that power and weight, BMW does claim the XM can do 50 km of EV driving on a single charge, though it does not have support for DC fast charging. Charging on a Level 2 240V charger will take around 12 hours, so chances are you’ll want to make use of the as-you-drive chargeability.
