THE BIG SUVS AND THE PICKUP TRUCKS
Toyota 4Runner
We’re expecting an all-new 4Runner for 2025, so there aren’t many changes for 2024 past a few different colour choices and the discontinuation of the 40th Anniversary model.
The 4Runner is available across a single trim with five distinct option packages: standard, TRD Sport, TRD Off Road, Limited and TRD Pro.
All models come with seating for five, except for the Limited that gets a third row of seating.
All 4Runners come equipped with a 4.0L V6 and 5-speed automatic transmission, good for 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the big draw with the SUV comes in the form of its chassis and 4WD system which gets optional additions lie heavy-duty off-road suspension, crawl control and modified bumpers for better departure and approach angles.

Toyota Sequoia
For 2024, the Sequoia Limited (one of four trims, the others being TRD Off Road, Platinum and Capstone) becomes the Limited Nightshade that adds a black overfender, rear bumper, and roof rack as well as other gloss black exterior detailing and TRD Sport 20-inch wheels.
All Sequoia models come standard with the Hybrid Max powertrain, good for 389 hp and a burly 479 lb-ft of torque, meaning you can tow over 9,000 lb.

Toyota Tacoma
Toyota’s popular mid-size truck is fully redesigned for 2024, which brings two new powertrains – both hybrid, one good for 278 hp and 317 lb-ft and a Hybrid MAX model good for 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Power is channeled to all four wheels through either a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission or new 8-speed automatic.
All Tacomas gets a new available multi-link rear suspension, while the TRD Pro gets specialized IsoDynamic performance seats with seatback-integrated shock absorbers to simultaneously provide an even more comfortable ride when travelling off-road and allow the driver to have more control and prevent too much jostling.
Inside, we find a new available 14-inch touchscreen, as well as standard Safety Sense 3.0 tech.
Finally, 2024 sees the arrival of the Trailhunter spec, which acts as an overlanding vehicle right out of the box thanks to OME shocks, hot-stamped steel skid plates, steel rear bumper and utility bed with removable molle straps, as well as available racks, tents – even a shower – all courtesy of ARB overlanding out of Australia.
Other standard features include Rigid LED fog lamps, 20-inch LED light bar, 2400W AC inverter and comes pre-wired for accessories with three auxiliary switches.

Toyota Tundra
Not much changes for the biggest Toyota, which was overhauled for 2022. Minor changes include towing mirrors that are no longer standard on Platinum and 1794 grades, but are now optional on SR5 Off-Road, Platinum CrewMax and 1795 CrewMax grades.
