New models
For the most part, manufacturers have spoiled us this year. You only have to browse through our photo gallery to admire the latest creations: the Ferrari 599 GTB, the Lotus Exige, the Chrysler Aspen, the Hyundai Veracruz and Accent SR, the Kia Rondo, the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute, the Volkswagen GTI Farenheit and Jetta as well as the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer and 2007 Outlander.
GM took the opportunity to show off several concepts, but the vehicles that really stood out in my mind were the Buick Enclave, Cadillac CTS and Chevy Silverado, chosen as the Truck of the Year in Detroit.
As for Mazda, they unveiled the CX-9 crossover alongside the redesigned Tribute.
Toyota honored us by presenting their all-new 2007 Tundra in three different trims.
Nissan is going full throttle with four new cars, including the Sentra SE-R Spec V, the Altima Coupe, the Altima Hybrid (Sedan) and the Infiniti G.
Suzuki dared to unveil a future project: the SX4 WRC.
Land Rover's LR2 was revised and improved from the ground up, as is the case of the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class.
BMW made extra efforts to introduce five different new models, particularly the 3-Series Convertible and 2007 Mini.
Audi is luring sport enthusiasts with their 2008 TT Coupe.
Volvo refreshed their lineup by launching the new S80 et and XC90 Sport.
Finally, Lexus puts the icing on the cake with the luxurious LS 460L flagship sedan and the powerful LS 600h hybrid variant.
As you've probably understood, I put my favorite cars in bold characters. What are yours? Let's not forget the muscle cars of Michel Barrette. Meanwhile, we should expect more from the Musée Gilles-Villeneuve throughout the year.
