Only 18 points separate the three drivers who stand on top of the point standings of the Andros Trophy ice racing series in Europe. And three car manufacturers are involved in this epic battle for supremacy: Dacia, Skoda and MINI.

This past weekend's meeting was held on Lans-en-Vercors' fast-and-furious ice circuit that features a long, twisty, downhill section where proper car handling is crucial.

Friday, Jean-Philippe Dayraut claimed victory for MINI, finishing ahead of Skoda teammates Olivier Panis and Canadian Jacques Villeneuve. It was a first podium appearance for the former F1 World Champion this season.

Saturday, Evens Stievenart won his race race of the year, beating his Dacia teammate Alain Prost. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg, driving a Renault Clio, took third place.

With just two races to go, Alain Prost (Dacia Lodgy Glace) is first in the overall standings with a total of 738 points.

Jean-Philippe Dayraut (MINI Countryman) is second with the same number of points. Benjamin Rivière (Skoda Fabia) is third with 720 points in front of Olivier Panis (Skoda Fabia, 710 points) and Evens Stievenart (Dacia Lodgy Glace, 680 points).

Jacques Villeneuve (Skoda Fabia) appears in 12th place with 610 points.
