Audi Canada President Diego Ramos said it wasn't an easy decision to take, but that it was ultimately necessary to reduce pricing across the German luxury automaker's lineup.
An enhancement to a National Sales Program in Canada, further incentives are now in play until the end of November.
"We have been listening to our customers, and had to accept the rules of the market" Ramos said. "In light of the high level of standard amenities we have recently added to most Canadian Audi models, we believe the Audi product range is now very competitively priced. These added features, many of which are not standard in the US, represent a price reduction for many of the 2008 Audi vehicles."
The program is intended to further strengthen the value equation of the Audi brand and is available to buyers of new vehicles who pay cash or finance through a third-party financial provider.
Savings are available across the model lineup, including $1,000 on A3, $1,500 on A4, $5,000 on A6 and A6 Avant, and up to $7,500 on the A8 4.2 luxury sedans. Additionally, the Q7 SUV qualifies for a $3,000 incentive.
The newly launched S5 and R8 models do not qualify for the program.
