Audi chose the North American International Auto Show taking place in Detroit to unveil its Q8 concept, an audacious mix of sport coupe lines and SUV-like spaciousness and versatility. Intended to serve as the base for a new model set to debut in 2018, it has room for four passengers and all their luggage, larger touchscreens, heads-up display and a 320 kW plugin hybrid engine set-up.
Accompanying the concept at Audi’s Detroit kiosk, the sport version of the Q5, the SQ5, was also introduced at the show. Equipped with a 354 HP V6 engine, it can go from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. Visitors to the show could also take in the A5 and S5 convertibles on display.
