Earlier this year, the famous German manufacturer invited the British public to experience and celebrate the wonderful world of Mercedes-Benz in a style and fashion which brings a whole new meaning to the term "brand awareness".
Situated in the leafy suburbs of London, adjoining the renowned Goodwood Racetrack, Mercedes-Benz World is part of a new concept within the automotive world that is now spreading across Europe.
This huge purpose-built facility offers Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts everything from company history lessons to on-road, off-road, and even track driving experiences.
Naturally, you'll need to produce a valid driving license before they'll let you loose on the tracks in one of their prestigious high-end models.
What's that, you're still a few years shy of being eligible for one? Not a problem! Mercedes-Benz has a special course set up and a bevy of A-Class vehicles just for you. Yes, they strongly believe in family involvement at MB, so even youngsters, 11 years or older, are given the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of one of their vehicles.
Just think about that for a moment! What young automotive fan wouldn't want to return to school and boast to his/her friends about driving a brand-new Mercedes-Benz? Talk about getting them while they're young! In my mind, any youngster who gets to drive a Mercedes-Benz at the tender age of 11 is going to be a Benz fan forever.
Naturally, most of the driving courses are aimed slightly more towards the parents' involvement. The company even provides a specially-coated low-grip circular track, which enables them to experience first hand the vehicle stability systems.
Sitting in the middle of the vast array of test tracks is a huge purpose-built building which not only houses every single model that the company presently produces, but also a fine selection of classic Benz models from the past.
