More motorists than ever before are turning to the Blizzak winter tire, which Bridgestone has just named the "Official Tire of Winter".
On the market for over fifteen years, Blizzak pioneered a dedicated stud-less snow and ice tire revolution that set a standard for handling in adverse winter conditions.
"We've named the Blizzak "The Official Tire of Winter" to emphasize that Bridgestone remains the leader in developing superior winter tire technology and products to meet the ever-changing needs of consumers," said Phil Pacsi, Vice President of Consumer Tire Marketing at Bridgestone. "We're proud to say the Bridgestone Blizzak family of tires is available in more sizes to fit more vehicles than any other winter tire sold in North America."
According to Bridgestone, it's all about innovative technology. The patented Multicell tread compound, for instance, keeps the tire biting firmly into snow and ice by wicking water away from the contact patch while improving flexibility. Multicell technology is now available in Bridgestone's new Blizzak WS60 tires which feature UNI-T technology.
Bridgestone suggests winter tires like the Blizzak for any climate where snow, ice and freezing temperatures are common for 3 months a year or more.
