A special, more aggressive tread block pattern and open shoulders are employed to dig into soft surfaces like snow and mud, offering increased traction in less than favorable conditions. Stabilizing bars run between adjoining tread blocks, linking them together to help fight irregular wear. These 'tie-bars' become part of the tread pattern as the tires wear, creating additional edges to bite into the softer surfaces where the L320 tires excel.
A tough tread compound resists chips, cuts and tearing, helping to keep the tires in great shape. A 31/32" tread depth is utilized for long life, while the enhanced compound and shape also fights heat build up, allowing safely sustained highway speeds for extended periods.
With large, heavy duty trucks sharing the roadways with everyday motorists, we can all take comfort in the fact that many will begin using these revolutionary new tires to enhance their safety on the road, and in turn, everyone else's.
