The hardcore BMW M4 celebrates the German automaker’s win in the DTM championship with a special edition performance enthusiasts won’t want to miss.
Under the hood of the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is a straight 6-cylinder engine that cranks out 500 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, allowing 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds and an unofficial top speed of 305 km/h. An innovative water injection technology, previously seen on the BMW M4 GTS, enables cooling of the combustion chambers, significantly raising the engine’s thermally related performance limits by 16% in power output compared to the production model.
Inside the two-seater BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition, both driver and co-driver sit in M Carbon bucket seats covered in exclusive Alcantara/Leather Merino. The whole cockpit is trimmed with exceptionally high-quality Alcantara, even the M Sports steering wheel featuring a grey “12 o’clock” marker. Behind, a white rollover bar replaces the rear seats.
Outside, the hood, roof, rear diffuser, and more are made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). The end silencer of the double-flow sports exhaust system featuring two pairs of tailpipes is made of titanium.
