Today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit the new Buick Avista concept made its global debut. This 2+2 coupe with rear-wheel drive uses a twin-turbocharged V6 engine rated at 400 horsepower.
Aesthetically, the Avista features 20” wheels, front fender vents with chrome accents, and Buick’s new winged tri-shield insignia set against a three-dimensional mesh background on the front grille. Inside, you’ll find 3D-printed door and seat trim pieces, and a future vision of IntelliLink with tactile controls on a widescreen instrument panel display. Carbon fibre and aluminum inserts complete the package.
“There is elegant simplicity in the Avista’s surfaces, which speak to the purity of the car’s performance, and a timeless beauty that’s a hallmark of Buick design,” said Bryan Nesbitt, executive director Global Buick Design. “It was designed to capture the spirit of the perfect drive.”
