Only one race, Cleveland, Ohio on July 3, stands in the way of the Canadian trio, which will begin in Toronto on July 11th, followed up in Vancouver two weeks later on July 25th, and finally finish up in Montreal on August 29th.

Carpentier said, "Sometimes I'll save it for the end of the race." He added, "I know what strategy we're trying to make, but it's always different. At Portland, I had to use it in the first half of the race."

Regarding the tires Carpentier commented, "I love those [soft] tires and that's why I was able to pass some guys, because they started on compounds. Sometimes you can make up some good ground when the car is good."
