If you don't know what the Knight XV is, well it's about time you did. Built and created by Conquest Vehicles Inc., in TO, the Knight XV is a fully armoured, handcrafted, luxury SUV that every guy instantly falls in love with the moment they see it.
First, a few facts: The Knight XV weighs approximately 13,000lbs (dieting is not a word it understands, clearly); it's powered by a 6.0L General Motors V8, or there is also an optional Cummins diesel ISB 6.7L; the gasoline engine throws out 325hp and 400 lb-ft of torque; the Knight XV sits on a freightliner platform chassis (yes, freightliner); you control the XV with a 5-speed Torqshift automatic transmission; and it is, by far, the most savage-looking truck to come out of the Great White North.
Currently on tour in the UK, Conquest Vehicles Inc., have released pricing for their 2012 model that will now include selective upgrades that used to be optional additions as part of the base package. New models from 2012 on will also be bigger than previous generation models (because, clearly, it wasn't big enough). Equipped with things like electrostatic tinting, a siren, 2-way PA system, PS3 or X-Box entertainment system, decanter bar, cigar humidor, under-vehicle explosive protection system, exterior surveillance camera system, and an oxygen survival kit (for all that chemical warfare going on) the Knight XV can be fully equipped to take anything on – anything.
And with a base price of $629,000 it better be able to do all that, and much more (which, incredibly, it can).
